ABOUT OUR MEETINGS
Indivisible MKE meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month from 11AM to 12:30PM. We rotate between speaker meetings and community service. We also host two annual events:
an August Summer Celebration and our December Art of Justice Show and Sale.
Speaker meetings feature community members sharing information on issues of concern. Past speakers have addressed mental health services, affordable housing, voting right and
environmental justice. At every speaker meeting we also collect non-perishable food items for our Coalition Partner: Kinship Community Food Center.
Community service activities also takes place on the first Saturday of the month and focus on supporting the local community. They often relate to the focus of the previous month’s speaker.
To reach different communities Indivisible MKE’s meetings move between Kuumba Juice & Coffee, on the north side, and the Mitchell Street Library, on the south side. Finally, videos of previous speakers can be found on our YouTube channel.
At each meeting, in partnership with Kinship, we collect non-perishable food items. Kinship brings together people from all over MKE using food as an entry point,
creating relations that will change lives for the better.
